On March 27th, 2024, the SCSP (Steering Committee of Strategic Planning) convened a pivotal meeting at the University Cultural Center (Meeting Hall) to deliberate on crucial policies aimed at enhancing the operational framework of the University of Development (UoD).

During this meeting, three significant policies were thoroughly discussed:

• UoD General Policy of Quality Assurance Committee: Deliberations centered around establishing a comprehensive framework to uphold and monitor quality standards across various domains of university operations.

• UoD - Project Superintendent Committee Policy: Detailed discussions revolved around formulating guidelines and procedures for efficient project management, ensuring transparency and accountability in project execution.

• UoD - Dorms Policy: A comprehensive policy framework was explored to address student accommodation needs, with a focus on fostering a conducive living environment within university dormitories.

In addition to these policies, a groundbreaking proposal on the University Event Management Policy was presented. This marked the first proposal ever received by the University Policy Office (UPLO) on this subject matter. The proposal was expertly drafted and explained by Dr. Faek Diko, who joined the meeting via Zoom conference call.

The meeting was characterized by robust discussions and constructive inputs from all participants. Furthermore, the UPLO has been actively organizing several meetings to further refine the University Dorms Policy, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to addressing student accommodation needs effectively.
