On July 10th, 2024, the SCSP (Steering Committee of Strategic Planning) held a crucial meeting at the University of Duhok to discuss significant policies and actions aimed at furthering the university's strategic initiatives.

During this meeting, several key points were thoroughly deliberated upon:

Completion of Action Items: All action items assigned during the previous SCSP meeting were completed and approved, highlighting the committee's commitment to ensuring efficient follow-up and implementation.

Approval of Risk Management Report and Contingency Plan for the Bologna Process Implementation: Following the cancellation of the Bologna Process Implementation project, Dr. Diko submitted a comprehensive risk management report, outlining contingency measures. The report was approved after careful deliberation.

Approval of Six Policy Proposals: The committee discussed and approved six policy proposals submitted by SCSP members to the University Policy Office (UPLO), underscoring their significance in supporting UoD's strategic goals.

Publication and Affiliation Policy Update: Dr. Shaheen provided an update on the progress of the "Publication and Affiliation Policy," which was discussed and approved as an essential step in maintaining academic standards at the university.

Challenges in Policy Drafting: The Chairman addressed the challenges faced by the policy drafting teams and proposed alternative methods to support them in refining the policies further.
